For the purposes of this Policy, the following terms shall be defined as follows, namely:

- “POPIA” means the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 or 2013, as amended;
- “Processing” means ‘processing’ as that term is defined in POPIA, being:
any operation or activity or any set of operations, whether or not by automatic means, concerning personal information, including—
- the collection, receipt, recording, organisation, collation, storage, updating or modification, retrieval, alteration, consultation or use;
- dissemination by means of transmission, distribution or making available in any other form; or
- merging, linking, as well as restriction, degradation, erasure or destruction of information;
- “Website” means the website of Byte Orbit currently hosted at byteorbit.com, as Byte Orbit may choose to use from time to time; and
- “You” or “User” means any person who accesses and uses the Website for any reason.

Personal information collected
- The Personal Information that we may Process includes Your name and surname, e-mail address, contact information, information relating to Your occupation, personal information contained in your CV that you submit as part of the job application process, such as Your physical address, postal address, identity or passport numbers and employment history. We also collect details of the the pages of the website viewed by You.
- We will limit the Personal Information we Process to only that to which You consent and which is necessary for our legitimate business interests.

- Personal information will be Processed when You complete the relevant online forms on the Website.
- You Consent to Your Personal Information being Processed by Byte Orbit, being stored by Byte Orbit and used by Byte Orbit for the purposes specified in this Notice.
- Whilst Byte Orbit will make all effort to ensure the integrity and accuracy of Your Personal Information, this may not at all times be possible. Purpose for which Your Personal Information is collected

Subject to paragraph 6.2, we will only use the Personal Information You provide for the purpose of:
- in the case of Contact Form and Test Pilots users, processing the relevant online application or registration form; and
- in the case of Job Applicants, Processing the relevant job application and retaining it for future recruitment Processing.
- Should the specific purpose for which Your Personal Information is collected differ to that specified in paragraph 6.1, such purpose will be communicated to You when the information is requested.
- Byte Orbit will only Process Personal Information for a purpose consistent with the purpose for which it is collected, and to which You have consented.
- The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, permits Byte Orbit to use Personal Information collected to compile profiles for statistical purposes. No information contained in the profiles or statistics will be able to be linked to any specific user.
