QA Team Lead

As a QA Team Lead, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust testing processes across our existing and forthcoming ventures. This role requires hands-on leadership in automation and a passion for mentoring team members to achieve excellence. Your focus will be on leading and developing a test automation team, ensuring effective utilisation of established frameworks and tools. You will oversee the implementation of automation practices across projects while providing technical guidance and support to team members.

Skills & requirements

01.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLSET
  • 3 years experience leading manual and automated test/quality assurance teams will be an advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with continuous integration tools.
  • Experience with writing UI automation tests for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with API automation testing.
  • Experience with test case management platforms.
  • Proven experience in QA leadership, with a strong focus on automation frameworks and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile frameworks.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing QA teams to ensure high performance

A bonus would be:

  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science or an equivalent.
  • Knowledge of security standards, penetration and performance testing.
  • ISTQB/ISEB qualification

Quality System Management

Implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) to meet company needs and regulatory requirements.

Process Design and Improvement

Implementing processes for quality assurance and control, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.

Compliance Monitoring

Ensuring company products or services comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Auditing

Planning, conducting, and managing internal and external audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS.

Risk Management

Identifying potential quality risks and creating strategic mitigation plans.

Growth-focused Development

Empowering employees through training in quality standards, protocols, and improvement methodologies.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyzing quality metrics and data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, quantify this data for improved leadership decision-making.

Quality Inspection

Overseeing regular inspections and tests of products/services/processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Product Development Support

Working with product development teams to ensure quality is built in from the beginning.

Documentation

Developing and maintaining quality documentation such as quality manuals, quality procedures, quality plans, etc.

Team Leadership

Leading and developing the quality assurance team, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and managing performance.

Communication

Communicating quality standards and guidelines to all relevant departments, staff, suppliers and contractors.
