Skills & requirements
- At least 2 - 3 years experiences in a similar role
- A qualification in information systems, business administration, computer studies or similar is an advantage
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, AWS Cloud Practitioner are a plus.
- Proven experience in technical support, IT operations or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with macOS and/or Linux/Unix operating systems and common business applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Prior experience with IT service management (ITSM) tool such as Service Desk is advantageous.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution

Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, both in person and remotely.
System Monitoring and Maintenance

Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance, identify issues, and implement solutions.

Monitor SIEM systems for abnormal activities.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.

Assist in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.

Collaborate with other IT teams to assist in the implementation of new technologies and systems.

Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and emergencies.
Hardware and Software Asset Management

Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including operating systems and applications using mobile device management and scripting.

Handle procurement of hardware and software.

Assist with setup of AV hardware as and when required.

Maintain asset registers.
Domain Management

Collaborate with HR and departmental managers to facilitate a smooth employee onboarding process for new hires. Ensure timely setup of all required systems, hardware and tools for new employees.

Create, set up, and configure user accounts ensuring adherence to company policies.

Assign appropriate permissions based on role and departmental requirements.

Implement and maintain robust security settings to protect company data and maintain user privacy.

Deactivate and archive user accounts, ensuring no unauthorised access post-employment. Maintain records for future reference or audits.

Configure and manage integration between the company directory and third-party services using identity protocols like SAML, OIDC, and SCIM. Ensure seamless and secure authentication and authorization between different platforms and services, in compliance with organizational security policies.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

Document and maintain records of technical procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions.
